Preferences

‘Settings’ menu -> ‘Preferences’.

Undo Limit:
ARISE supports undo/redo for many of its actions.
Too high of a limit will increase memory usage.
when changing this value, the undo stack will be cleared.

Log Lines Limit:
Printing to the ‘Log Viewer’ is somewhat of a heavy operation.
Too high of a limit will slow down operations.

User Name:
Stored with every saved scene (*.ions).

Hide New Version Popup:
Don’t display a popup when a new version is available.

AutoSave To Maya Scene:
If checked, when nodes are Built or Templated, the Arise scene is automatically saved into the Maya scene.
This lets you save both the Maya and Arise scene as one Maya file.
Select ‘File‘>’Load>’Load From Maya Scene‘ to load the scene.

Parent Under Maya Window:
Parent ARISE to Maya, which keeps it above Maya’s main window.
(default True)

Window Always On Top:
ARISE UI will always be on top of every window.
(default False)

Table Attribute Height:
Attachments table attributes height can be adjusted from here.

Modules Search Paths:
When creating custom nodes, it is recommended to store them in a separate folder outside the Arise installation directory. This prevents them from being deleted when Arise is updated.

In this section, you can add folder paths for Arise to search for custom nodes. The folder structure should match the ‘io_modules‘ folder located in the Arise installation directory.

Note: Modifying search paths should only be done if you are familiar with creating new nodes using Python.

Custom Ctrls Shapes Path: {As of version 1.10.00}
Specify a folder path for Arise to search for custom ctrl shapes. This is used in conjunction with the ‘Add A Custom Ctrl Shape‘ feature.

Guides

Display Local Axis:
Guides will display their local axis in Maya so the user can see their orientation better.
A ‘Re-template’ is required to see the changes.

Display Label:
Show the names of the guides next to them.
A ‘Re-template’ is required to see the changes.

Display Guides Curve:
A curve will appear between parent and child guides.
A ‘re-template’ is required to see the changes.

Autosave

Enable AutoSave:
Activate autosave.
Only the Arise scene (.ions) is saved, the Maya scene is not. (More information)

AutoSave Path:
The path to the folder where the autosave files will be created.

AutoSave Amount:
The number of save files to be created.
Once the limit is reached, it will overwrite existing autosave files.

AutoSave Interval (In minutes):
Sets the interval between auto savings.
