# Dump_grp

During [**Cleanup**](https://ariserigging.com/docs/elements/node/), ARISE prevents the deletion of Maya objects that do not belong to the node but are parented under his Maya objects by parenting them under 'rig_root_grp'|'data_grp'|'dump_grp'.
As an example, if you parent a mesh under a joint, that mesh gets parented under the 'dump_grp' when the node switches to template mode.
Use the [**'Parent'**](https://ariserigging.com/docs/attachments/parent/) attachment to properly parent meshes to your rig.

This mechanism allows attachments like [**'Parent'**](https://ariserigging.com/docs/attachments/parent/), [**'SpaceSwitch'**](https://ariserigging.com/docs/attachments/spaceswitch/), and [**'FollowSkeleton'**](https://ariserigging.com/docs/attachments/followskeleton/) to operate and re-parent their nodes during build.

An indicator on the tools shelf will turn red when objects are in the 'dump_grp'.
This does not necessarily mean there is something wrong.
If all your nodes are in 'Build' mode and the indicator is still red, then it is a good idea to check what's under 'dump_grp'.
